Sipling founder Avnish Babla describes himself as a “dinner party alchemist”, and with this range of drinks, launched in 2019, he has sought to reinvent some of his dinner guests’ favourite cocktails in an innovative alcohol-free way.

Where better to start than with the best-known cocktail of all: gin and tonic, that bitter-sweet pick-me-up that allegedly kept the British safe from malaria in the days of Empire. Like all Sipling drinks, this one looks great, in a cute little bottle with a smart dark blue and copper colour-scheme.

The drink itself is not quite what we were expecting from a G&T. The taste was a little too bitter for our taste testers, halfway between tonic and bitter lemon, maybe. But, as always, you’ll have to judge for yourself!

You can order all of Sipling’s drinks direct from them, either as a pack of six bottles of one drink or a mixed tasting pack of six different cocktails. Other sales outlets are sure to be on the way.
