With teetotalism on the rise again, Thomas and Evans have taken their inspiration from two Victorian purveyors of alcohol-free drinks, William Thomas and William Evans, who were business partners in the 1880s, selling temperance tipples to the masses.
This intriguing drink is made with over twenty ingredients, including apple, elderflower, citrus peel, and oak tincture, all filtered through silver birch charcoal. It also comes in a fabulous Victorian-style bottle.

It’s got plenty of sparkle and a nice greenish colour. Our taste testers couldn’t agree what it reminded them of – some said cucumber, some said lime. We also weren’t sure whether it best sat with the GnT-type drinks (as its name suggests) or with the sodas. But, overall, a very pleasant drink.
You can buy T&E from Ocado and Waitrose, where it’s been picking up favourable reviews.
