The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Alcohol Harm

We help organise the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Alcohol Harm, which brings together MPs and peers from all parties to reduce alcohol-related harm.

The APPG on Alcohol Harm’s purpose is to promote the discussion of alcohol-related issues, raise matters of concern and to make recommendations to Government and other policy-makers.

Recent meetings have focused on:

  • The Government’s Alcohol Strategy
  • Alcohol and inequalities
  • Treatment service funding
  • No and low alcohol products
  • Alcohol and families
  • Drink driving
  • Alcohol and the armed forces

The APPG on Alcohol Harm recently co-produced a new Alcohol Charter with the Cross-Party Parliamentary Group on Drugs, Alcohol and Justice. The Charter sets out key policies that should inform the Government’s forthcoming Alcohol Strategy.
