Pale Ale is one of the big growth categories for beer. Supermarket shelves across the country are sagging under the weight of hundreds of bottles and hip little cans of this light hoppy brew. So, it was probably a smart move by Big Drop to get in on the act.

Not to beat around the bush, this is, quite simply, an excellent beer. Like any good pale ale, the hops are what you can taste above all. But it’s also got a nice spicy aroma and just a hint of citrus. Apparently, they used fresh limes in the brew, which is one of those crazy-but-it-works ideas. It’s no wonder it picked up a prize at the 2017 World Beer Awards.

5 out of 5. Drink it!
