Change: A Musical Theatre Concert supports Alcohol Change UK!

April 2023 | 6 minutes

Alicia Lambert, a musical theatre performer from Newcastle, is holding a fundraising concert for Alcohol Change UK on Saturday 29 April 2023 in Winchester. It’s an evening not to be missed; book your tickets now!

I’m a young person in recovery for addiction and have always admired what Alcohol Change UK does to raise awareness for alcohol harm, alongside ending the stigma by delivering the facts and information in a way the public are able to digest.

I visited the charity’s site when my drinking was starting to spiral and was able to see that there was help out there. The charity is a bridge to finding that help.

I’m a musical theatre performer and have always wanted to put on a concert to bring the community together. I graduated from the University of Winchester in 2021. My addiction made me isolated and alone, but life today thanks to recovery isn’t like that.

Everybody knows someone who is struggling, addiction affects the entire community, so I want to bring that community together and I find there is no better way to do that than through music.”

A massive THANK YOU to Alicia and all the performers for your amazing support of Alcohol Change UK through your concert.

Alicia is hoping to raise £1,000 from ticket sales alone and hold a raffle on the night too with some fantastic donated prizes. If you’d like to attend the full event details are:
