Club Claritee’s famous alcohol-free event comes to London for the first time, and Alcohol Change UK’s Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager Jaynee Samuel was there to see what it was all about.

Taking place in the heart of Leicester Square at the W Hotel, Club Claritee were joined by The Sober Club celebrating their 5-year anniversary, for their famous alcohol-free social nights.

With previous events taking place in Manchester, Chester and Liverpool, this event was the first in London, and Alcohol Change UK were lucky enough to attend. The September event is one of two taking place in London (the next is on Wednesday 16th October) offering the opportunity to meet new people whilst enjoying great music and entertainment.

Upon arrival to the venue, we were greeted by the sounds of club classics played by the famous DJ Sam Totolee, who has wowed guests at many events around the world, with a client list that includes celebrities like Rod Stewart, James Corden and even the royal family.

The event took place in the W Hotel's Revolve Lounge, providing the perfect space to mix and mingle before heading to the dance floor. Club Claritee is all about finding connections and community, so it's the perfect scene to strike up a conversation and meet new friends.

We soon made our way to the bar, to check out what drink offerings were available.

The drinks menu featured an array of amazing alcohol-free drinks, with special cocktails produced just for the event, and a wide selection of alcohol-free sparkling wines and beers - I opted for one of the cocktails, made with vanilla and ginger.

With our drinks in hand, and the night just starting, we were able to spend some time soaking up the great atmosphere.

The entertainment didn’t just stop with the DJ, during the evening there was a live singer as well as a few speeches about why we were all there and talking about the importance of alcohol-free events like these.

It was time to go back to the dance floor, and for the remainder of the night we found ourselves dancing the night away.

It was the perfect night out in London, filled with great company, music and a great cause.

If you’re looking for an alcohol-free night, why not join Club Claritee’s next London event on Wednesday 16th October.
