The Tempest Brewing Co. is based in Galashiels in the south of Scotland, and they appear to be part of the new wave of 21st Century brewers, with wacky, colourful branding and bold language.

I have to say that, in what is becoming a crowded low-ABV beer market, this one did not stand out for me. It has some elements of traditional pale ale taste, for instance the citrus notes. However, there was an overriding smoky, ashy taste to the beverage that made it slightly distasteful to the palate.

It comes in a colourful red can with a blue hand holding an eyeball. So, maybe appealing to some fashionable new-gen sober drinkers, but sadly for me, missing the mark on flavour.
