IPA is very old type of beer, with origins in the eighteenth century. It’s also one of the most popular beers of the twenty-first century, as you may have noticed if you’ve taken a look at the craft ale section in your local supermarket recently. This Unltd IPA, at 0.5% ABV, is a welcome addition to that trend.

Unltd Brewery founder Johnny Johnson got so fed up with looking for good alcohol-free drinks that he created his own. He started with a lager, which has now been joined by this pale ale, in the same smart black and metallic packaging.

The beer itself has a light golden colour and plenty of life. It’s very hoppy, and if you like pale ales with plenty of hops up-front, this may just be your new favourite beer. It’s also remarkably low in calories.
