Crisis is the national charity for homeless people. We help people directly out of homelessness, and campaign for the social changes needed to solve it altogether.

We all understand the importance of the security and safety of our homes and how awful it must be to be without on. Being homeless is incredibly stressful. There is also a high prevalence of physical and mental wellbeing health problems amongst the homeless population. It is not uncommon for those traumatised by homelessness to try and relieve the daily pressures faced to seek solace in drugs or alcohol. Homelessness can often feel like a trap which is difficult to escape from.

Everyone who uses our services has the right to be treated with respect, fairness and dignity. We will work with people who use drugs or alcohol and those who do not.

Every year, we work side by side with thousands of people, to help them rebuild their lives. By doing Dry January and fundraising for Crisis, you can help us to support people on their journey out of homelessness for good.

“With homelessness on the rise, due to a shortage of affordable housing and changes to the welfare system, tackling it has never been more urgent. Dry January is a great way to raise vital funds to give people a route out of homelessness, and to support our work to end homelessness in this country once and for all.”
