We’re off on a trip to Italy with Lyre’s Classico sparkling white wine!
Once poured – ideally in a long-stemmed flute – it has a clear colour and gentle fizz. On the nose, it’s sweet and fresh. Our taste-testers were a little divided, with some finding it sweet and others dry; but there is certainly a pleasant slightly sour aftertaste akin to its alcoholic counterpart.
Lyre’s Classico comes in a nice pale-yellow can with a hummingbird illustration, and also in a larger bottle that would work well for a dinner party, or in the garden with friends on a hot summer’s day.
