Citizen Spritz is new venture, founded in 2022, and they aim to “make every day moderation effortless and flavourful” with their zero-alcohol instant spritz mixes. Mix 25ml of concentrated syrup with 175ml of sparkling water, and you’re good to go.
We’ve tried three of their flavours: Pink Grapefruit, Bitter Orange, and Cool Lime. Of the three, the Pink Grapefruit was definitely our favourite. It’s got a delightful summery grapefruit aroma and an attractive pink grapefruit colour. The sweetness of the agave perfectly balances the bite of the grapefruit.
We picked up hints of citrus and rhubarb in the Bitter Orange. It is a very bitter drink and won’t suit everyone. But if you’re a fan of bitter Italian aperativi, this may be the drink for you. The Cool Lime was nice but, for us, the least distinctive of the drinks: a nice mix of lime, mint and agave, but less memorable than the other two.
As always, you’ll have to try them for yourselves.
