The Gloucester Brewery was set up in 2011 in the city’s historic docks, and they’ve already produced one great alcohol-free beer. Launched in 2024, Cheepy Chopper is their second 0.5% beer, and it’s just as good.

It’s a cloudy IPA, lively with plenty of body. There are lots of hops but it’s not mouth-puckeringly bitter. It’s a great session ale. And since it’s only 0.5%, you can make that session as long as you like.

It comes in a smart can with a cute cartoon image of the city of Gloucester with its famous spires, and 10% of the proceeds go to the Great Western Air Ambulance, which serves patients across Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire and Somerset.
