This is the first alcohol-free drink we’ve tried that aims to fill the gap normally filled by Jack Daniels or Jim Bean in that all-American cocktail: Bourbon and cola. It’s made with Madagascan vanilla, American oak, toasted nuts, and dry spice, all mixed with premium cola. It’s got a smooth mouthfeel and a smooth flavour, and there’s a hint of cream soda – probably on account of the vanilla. There’s also quite a strong peaty flavour, more like a Scotch than a Bourbon, which may put off some drinkers who are looking for a smooth American whisky flavour.
