A decent red wine is the Holy Grail of the alcohol-free drinks business. Have Holland and Barrett tracked it down? Not quite, maybe. But you may wish to find out for yourself.
The winemakers Piere Chavin have taken a slightly different route to many. Rather than creating a red wine and then extracting the alcohol, what we have here is unfermented Cabernet Sauvignon grape juice, plus a few natural aromatic herbs. It’s got a nice blackcurrant flavour and it’s not too sweet, but if you’re hoping for something to replace your usual Cabernet Sauvignon, you may be disappointed.
