This Toast beer is made from surplus bread and Teapigs lemongrass tea, with the two companies working together to make good use of by-products that would otherwise be food waste. It’s 100% plastic free and the label provides some information about the effects of plastic on ocean life. All profits from the beer are go to Feed Back Global, a charity working to fix food shortages.
This was surprisingly a nice lager, although not the best alcohol-free lager I’ve had. The aroma was quite overpowering, probably due to the lemongrass. It might be better suited to a smaller can, as I think 440ml was too much.
