Artis wines come from the Languedoc-Roussillon region of the south of France, which seems like a good start for a wine.

We found this one on sale in Sainsbury’s, where the consumer reviews have not been great, but we quite enjoyed it. It’s a bit pale for a Chardonnay and a little bit too sweet, but it’s got a nice oaky aroma and a prolonged oak aftertaste. If you were a fan of the heavily-oaked Chardonnays of the 1990s, this may be a good low-alcohol option for you.
