Adnams are plainly proud of being able to bring this low-alcohol wine to market, and say so with a big “0.5” on the label. Making a good alcohol-free red wine is notoriously difficult. So, how have Adnams done? First of all, it’s got a nice, deep red wine colour, and a nice red wine aroma. The taste is neither too sweet nor too sour, and there are some nice blackcurrant and blackberry notes. We’re still a little way off from the perfect 0.5% red wine but this one will do that job if you’re looking for something nice to accompany a meal instead of your usual red wine.
