A review of DC Sparkling Rosé, a South African wine from Darling Cellars looks like a fancy pink champagne

4/5

This South African wine from Darling Cellars looks like a fancy pink champagne, in a Belle Epoque style with floral details on the bottle, a good pale pink colour to the drink, and a rose-gold foil top. The cork comes out with a great pop, and the wine has good nose – more distinguished than the cheaper alcohol-free rosés I have tried. It’s pleasant to sip, with flavours of strawberries and sweet plum.

I love the pink gradients and flashy artistic features on the bottle. They help ensure the drinker feels they are engaged in a proper celebration when opening this New World wine.
