Oddbird Spumante is made from wine that is matured for up to 12 months in stainless steel tanks. The alcohol in it is then “gently liberated using a unique and patented method” that is intended to preserve the wine’s natural flavours and aromas. The description promises flavours of white pear, green apple, elderflower, honey melon, gooseberry, and grapefruit.
I really liked this drink. It has all the taste that a good fizz should have. Served cold, it’s lovely and dry and crisp, unlike some of the other similar drinks in this category, which are normally really sweet! I shared it with my sober friend and we both agreed it was the best alcohol-free fizz we have had.
