A review of Tennents Zero - lovely golden colour; pleasant and refreshing with hints of caramel.
Score:
3/5
Tennent’s are famous for lager, and for strong lager too. So, how did they do with this 0.0% brew, launched in 2020?
It’s made with Scottish barley, hops, and fresh water from Lock Katrine in the Highlands, and it comes in a smart aqua-blue can. It’s got a lovely golden colour. The hops come through more strongly than in most lagers, and there’s a hint of caramel in the aftertaste.
Overall, we have to say that it’s not a stand-out beer. There are no big surprises here, but it’s pleasant and refreshing.
