A review of Wolf Blass Sauvignon Blanc - a white wine from one of Australia’s biggest wineries.

3/5
Low-alcohol wines haven’t boomed in the same was as, say, alcohol-free beers and cocktails. One reason has to be that they’re incredibly difficult to do well. That said, the major players are still queuing up to give it go, including this Sauvignon Blanc from one of Australia’s biggest wineries.
It’s got a nice white wine aroma – fruity with a hint of yeast. Unlike many other 0.5% wines, it’s not overly sweet. If anything, our taste-testers found it a little too sour, with an aftertaste like crab apples that became a little overwhelming. The producers describe it as “crisp with zesty notes”. If you like very dry wines, you may enjoy this one.
