Our community outreach project aims to raise awareness about harmful drinking, promote healthier habits, and tackle the stigma surrounding alcohol use.
Aims of the project:
- Raise awareness about harmful drinking and its impact on people, families, and communities.
- Provide the tools and resources to promote more mindful drinking and reduce alcohol-related harm.
- Engage with diverse and underserved communities to address barriers to help and support.
- Help recruit further new volunteers as fellow local Community Champions to help with outreach efforts.
- Build a supportive and inclusive community that fosters understanding and reduces stigma around alcohol harm.
We're especially focused on reaching marginalised and underserved communities where the harm is higher, and where help and awareness are often more limited. By engaging with local organisations, health and wellbeing teams, colleges and universities, community centres, and many more people and places, we want to empower individuals with the knowledge and resources needed for a healthier relationship with alcohol.
