This own-brand rosé from Marks and Spencer is part of an every-growing selection of alcohol-free drinks from the high-end supermarket. Like a number of other savvy retailers, they’ve clearly realised that the dry pound is worth pursuing.

It’s got a nice colour, although its appearance is let down by lack-lustre packaging. It’s a little sharp – one of our tasters got a hint of gooseberries – but that may be a good thing, given how so many alcohol-free wines suffer from an excess of sweetness. Overall, this is a very acceptable rosé and an ideal summer drink.
