Rosy-coloured, fruity-flavoured gins are one of the most popular cocktail ingredients at the moment, so it’s a smart move by Dalston’s to bring out this premixed cocktail in a can.

Founded in 2012 in Dalston, east London, the company specialises in soft drinks for grown-ups, made with natural ingredients. This Rhubarb G&T is one of a number of intriguing drinks in their portfolio. It comes in a smart pink can, decorated with a funky cavalcade of images and messages. Once poured, it’s got the cloudy look you’d expect from a pink gin cocktail. It’s got a sweet aroma that reminded one of our testers of a well-known confection. Most importantly, it tastes likes a pink gin cocktail, with a nice bit of juniper.

So, it you like cocktails like this but would also like to drink a bit less alcohol, you should definitely give this one a go. We picked it up in Sainsbury’s.
