Gordon’s is possibly the best-known gin brand in the UK, and maybe even the world. The distillery has been around since 1769, so it’s fair to say that they know a thing or two about the fine art of gin. The question is, though, what do they know about satisfying the alcohol-free drinker’s palate?

This premixed canned drink was new to the market in 2021 and was brought to us off the back of the very successful launch of Gordon’s 0.0 in 2020. The aroma (as with most of the premixed market) is taken over by the tonic, which almost always is too strong and makes identifying any of the botanicals much harder.

Does it taste like gin? Not really. It doesn’t have the kick of a G&T but it’s perfectly passable (with ice and a slice, of course). There are so many alcohol-free gin-based drinks on the market that I don’t think this one has much to distinguish it and make consumers hunt it out. But it’s by no means unpleasant and makes for a light and refreshing pre-dinner drink.
