There are quite a few gin-type alcohol-free drinks out there, and they’re a mixed bag. This Cornish spirit avoids most of the most common pitfalls by not pretending to be anything like a traditional gin. Instead of juniper, it’s light and fresh flavours of lemon, samphire and sage that come through most strongly. Mixed with tonic, it makes a perfect summer cocktail. It is one of the most expensive drinks in this category, but we’d say it’s worth a go.
