IBA for workplaces e-Learning

This course is useful for HR & Well-being staff and managers in the workplace whose role it might be to support staff who are concerned that they are drinking above lower risk levels. It provides the tools and confidence to support staff in having conversations around alcohol, identifying risk, giving simple brief advice, and signposting to appropriate services.

This course will also be beneficial for sectors where staff are working directly with clients who may need support with identification, brief advice and signposting such as housing officers, NHS staff, physiotherapists, counsellors, social workers, and occupational health advisors.

By the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Recognise the physical, psychological and social implications of alcohol misuse
  • State the recommended low-risk guidelines and the ethos behind them
  • Calculate units in common alcoholic drinks
  • Screen for risky drinking behaviours
  • Deliver tailored, evidence-based brief advice
  • Identify support options and signpost appropriately

Prices start from £29 per person with discounts for over 50 people. Bespoke options are also available with prices on request.
