Æcorn Dry
English | Cymraeg
A review of Æcorn Dry - sweetness of grapes with a punchy bitter aftertaste.
Score:
3/5
Æcorn drinks are made from verjus – literally “green juice” – which comes from pressing unripe grapes. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Munier grapes from a vineyard in Sussex are picked early and their juice is blended with clary sage, chamomile, black tea, quassia and oak. The result is a drink that starts with a slightly sweet taste of grapes and finishes with a more bitter aftertaste.
All the Æcorn drinks range come well-presented in smart dark green bottles with gold lettering and an oakleaf motif on the label. You can pick them up in Sainsbury’s and Waitrose.
