The Bitburger Brewery was founded in 1817 in the town of Bitburg in the far west of Germany, right on the border with France and Luxemburg. It produces five different kinds of “alkoholfrei” beer, including this one, which we came across in mid-2022. It’s got a beautiful golden colour and plenty of head that hangs around. It’s packed with tiny bubbles but isn’t too fizzy. It’s got a good lager aroma and flavour, with just a bit of a bitter aftertaste. Overall, it’s a really decent German lager.
