CleanCo was established in 2019 with the aim of offering “a range of delicious, full-flavoured non-alcoholic alternatives to your favourite spirits”. Their drinks started out at 1.2% ABV but later dropped down to 0.5%, making them more-or-less alcohol-free, especially once they’re mixed with tonic or cola.
This Clean G was one of CleanCo’s first drinks, intended as an alcohol-free alternative to gin. It comes in a lovely dark green hexagonal bottle. It’s got a nice juniper aroma and the flavour is very much led by juniper – just like a traditional London gin. Unfortunately, that flavour is little bit weak and gets a bit lost in the tonic.
