Having enjoyed Equinox Ginger Kombucha, our taste-testers were excited to try another flavour. This one comes in a white and pink can, and the liquid inside is deep pink in colour and bubbly when poured. The smell of the drink is quite unique, like a potent mixed berry punch with a kick of pineapple.
It is slightly sour to taste, with a very light sweetness in the background. Though it smells of kombucha, the vinegar flavour is not too potent. It leaves quite a complex aftertaste, which is unsurprising due to the range of ingredients: liquorice, rosehip, nettle, green tea, kombucha and pineapple. Our taste-testers found this a unique and enjoyable drink.
Kombucha drinks are not usually recommended for children or anyone who is pregnant, as they are live drinks and so the alcohol content can vary over time, although it is usually not more than 0.5%.
