A review of Martini Vibrante - a great take on a traditional Italian aperitivo; mixed with soda water or tonic, it makes for a lovely, refreshing drink.

5/5
It doesn’t get much more Italian than Martini. They’ve been making the stuff in the little village of Pessione in the shadow of the Alps since 1863.
In some ways, they’ve played it safe with this Martini Vibrante. But maybe that’s no bad thing. What you’re getting here is a traditional Italian aperitivo, with no weird or unexpected flavours. It’s got that Martini mix you’d expect of sweetish wine and bitter herbs. The big difference is that this aperitivo is analcolico.
Mixed with soda water or tonic, it’s a lovely, refreshing drink. Perhaps the best evidence is that the bottle was emptied very quickly by our taste testers…who then asked if there was any more to be had!
Martini was big in the 1970s. Maybe it’s due an alcohol-free revival.
