Daniel James Henry
Daniel is an ITV news reporter and documentary maker who joined as an Ambassador after he sadly lost his uncle as a result of alcohol harm.
"I never thought I’d become an Ambassador for Alcohol Change UK. But I never thought I’d lose my uncle Spencer to liver cirrhosis either. At 48. He was smart and stubborn. Kind and quiet. Patient. Principled. Always there when I needed him. Until 7 January 2021 - when his body gave up, and the pain he was in was too much to bear. I miss him everyday."
"I ran 10k across London in his memory - raising just over £1500 for Alcohol Change UK. Knowing the money was going to help others in addressing their relationship with alcohol felt good. So even though I would much rather have my uncle back - I’m doing what I can to highlight the help and research that might keep someone else here just a little longer.”
