The Hayman’s gin story started in 1863, when James Burrough, a London pharmacist, opened a small distillery. All these years later, his descendants are still at it. They are clearly innovators, having previously brought a 12.5% gin to market, and in 2025 they launched their first 0.0% drink.
It’s got nice flavours of juniper, coriander and citrus, and they’re natural flavours, with nothing artificial about them. Like most alcohol-free spirits, it’s not really supposed to be enjoyed on its own. Hayman’s suggest mixing it with tonic and a slice of grapefruit. We tried it with tonic and lime. Either way, it’s a great alternative to a traditional G&T.
It’s also one of the best-looking drinks we’ve seen, in a beautiful square bottle with echoes of London history. Could make a nice gift, maybe?
