High & Dry founder, Louis, started the company after taking a year off alcohol in 2023. He enjoyed the clarity of mind that sobriety brought but missed “the simple joy of having a beer at the right moment”. So, he decided to make his own alcohol-free beer.
After reading Merlin Sheldrake’s book Entangled Life he became fascinated with fungi, and this beer is made with two types of mushrooms from the Bristol Fungarium, both of which had been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries.
The result is a light and lively alcohol-free lager, with plenty of flavour and plenty of body. If craft lager is your thing, this should suit you just fine.
