Noughty Monté is a great-looking drink, in a smart bottle with some slightly abstract mountains on the label. It’s made from South African Syrah grapes, and aged in French oak barrels, before having the alcohol carefully removed.
It’s got a good deep red colour; a pleasant fruity aroma; and nice hint of blackberries in the flavour. Altogether, it’s a likeable drink, but it’s a little thin and is not going to convince all red wine fans.
