We first came across this drink, in its boldly-coloured can, in autumn 2021 and it seems to have taken the place of Clean Cuba Libre, which we’ve previously reviewed on these pages.
Whatever you call it – Cuba Libre or Rum-n-Cola – in its alcoholic form it’s one of the world’s most popular drinks. Much of its success is due to its simplicity: it’s just spiced rum mixed with cola. So, does it work without the alcohol?
The short answer is “yes”. This drink has a nice warming spicy aroma – a little bit Christmassy – and a nice warming taste too. As always, you’ll have to try it for yourself, but we found it pretty closed to a standard Rum-n-Cola.
