If you’re looking for an earthy, floral alcohol-free alternative to gin, then Munro is definitely worth a closer look.
The drink is named after the Munros, the list first drawn up by Sir Hugh Munro of Scotland’s mountains with a height above 3,000 feet. Judging by the taste of this offering, Naesip certainly know the alcohol-free landscape. Packed full of Scottish gooseberries, juniper berries and botanical extracts, it’s flavoursome without being overpowering, and without the slightly chemical taste that bedevils some of the other alcohol-free gins we’ve tried.
You wouldn’t taste this and necessarily think “gin”, but try it with a tonic and slice of orange, as we did, and we think you’ll be impressed. The bottle also looks like a work of art.
