As more and more alcohol-free beers reach the market, it’s a real pleasure to meet a new one that really stands out.

It’s hard to pinpoint just what all the flavours are here, but there’s some kind of marvellous mix of hops, malt and fruit. It’s got a nice golden colour and plenty of life. In our humble opinion, it would make the ideal accompaniment to a ploughman’s lunch.

It’s named after a song that’s gained a new lease of life in recent years. Written in 1982, Yma o Hyd has become a kind of unofficial anthem amongst supporters of Wales’ successful national football team, and that’s reflected in the can design, which is based on the stripy bucket hats widely worn when the team is on tour.
