At the 2021 Autumn Budget announcement, the Chancellor laid out plans to freeze all alcohol duties for the next year. He also announced the government's proposed plan for a revised alcohol duty system, which includes cutting duty on draught beer and sparkling wine, as well as moving to a system where alcohol is taxed according to its strength.
